The Program:

Day 01: (Wednesday) Arriving Cairo staff assists with clearing immigration and customs then transfers you to the Historic Mena House, where you will have a pyramids view palace room OR if you prefer to the Four Seasons Nile Plaza where you will enjoy a deluxe Nile view room. Overnight Cairo

VISAS: All travelers to Egypt must have a visa. Those traveling with USA or Canada passports can obtain theirs on arrival at Cairo. No photos, no forms and cost is about $18. Travelers with other passports should check with us whether you need one before arrival.

Day 02: (Thursday) Breakfast then a full day tour to Memphis(the ancient capital), Sakkarra with the Stepped Pyramid, and Dahshur with it's famous Bent and Red Pyramids plus the new Imhotep museum. Overnight Cairo (B)

Day 03: (Friday) After breakfast depart for the Giza Plateau to visit the seventh wonder of the ancient world, the Great Pyramid. Stare into the face of the inscrutable Sphinx and visit the Solar Boat museum. Spend the afternoon at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, featuring King Tut's treasures. In the early evening visit the Khan el Khalili bazaar where travelers have been finding bargains since the middle ages. Overnight Cairo (B)

Day 04: (Saturday) Full day tour of Old Cairo with it’s famous churches and synagogue plus the Citadel of Salah el Din, the Alabaster Mosque, the Ibn Tulun Mosque & Gayer Anderson House. If you are a movie buff or James Bond fan you might remember this museum from a tryst and murder in the film “The Spy Who Loved Me”. In the evening enjoy the sound and light show at the pyramids of Giza. Overnight Cairo (B)

Day 05: (Sunday) Staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Luxor. Arriving staff transfers you to the famous Old Winter Palace. In the evening attend the sound and light show at Karnak temple. Overnight Luxor (B)

Day 06: (Monday) After breakfast check out and depart for a day visiting Dendera and Abydos temples. Return to Luxor and board your Premier Nile cruiser, the Saint George I where you will have a Presidential suite. Dinner on board. Overnight Luxor (Breakfast at the hotel, box lunch, Dinner on the cruise ship)

Day 07: (Tuesday) Breakfast on board before visiting the West Bank (Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon). Lunch on board then sail to Edfu. Afternoon free at leisure. Afternoon Tea. Dinner on board. Overnight at Edfu (B,L,D)

Day 08: (Wednesday) Breakfast on board then visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Sail to Kom Ombo. Lunch on board with the afternoon free at leisure. Afternoon Tea. Dinner on board. Overnight Kom Ombo (B,L,D)

Day 09: (Thursday) Breakfast on board while sailing to Aswan. Visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries and the Temple of Philae. Lunch on board then visit the Nubian Museum, a world class presentation of Nubia’s culture and history plus the famous Spice Market. Afternoon Tea. Dinner on board. Overnight Aswan (B,L,D)

Day 10: (Friday) Breakfast on board. Free morning to enjoy Aswan or perhaps an optional (extra cost) tour to visit the famous temples of Ramses at Abu Simbel. Lunch on board before sailing on the Nile by Felucca (native sailboat) around Kitchener's Island. Afternoon Tea. Dinner on board. Overnight Aswan (B,L,D)
NOTE: Feluccas are solely wind powered. If there is not sufficient wind this will not operate.
NOTE: Abu Simbel excursion is $250 a person including transfers, flights, private tour including entry fees, service charges and taxes.

Day 11: (Saturday) Breakfast on board then sail to Kom Ombo. Lunch on board then visit the Temple Shared by Two Gods: Sobek & Haroeis in Kom Ombo. Afternoon Tea then sail to Esna. Dinner on board. Overnight Esna (B,L,D)

Day 12: (Sunday) Breakfast on board before sailing to Luxor. Lunch on board then visit the East Bank (Karnak and Luxor Temples). Afternoon Tea. Dinner on board. Overnight Luxor (B,L,D)

Day 13: (Monday) Breakfast before disembarkation. Staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Cairo. Arriving transfer by air-conditioned coach to Alexandria, the city Alexander the Great built and Cleopatra made famous. Enjoy the comfort of the Four Seasons. Overnight Alexandria (B)

Day 14: (Tuesday) Full day touring the Greco Roman sites including the catacombs, Pompey’s pillar, the museums and the new library. Overnight Alexandria (B)

Day 15: (Wednesday) After breakfast check out and continue your tour of Alexandria. Return to Cairo in the early evening where you will enjoy the comfort of the Fairmont Heliopolis hotel. Overnight Cairo (B)

Day 16: (Thursday) Staff transfers you to the airport, assists with exit formalities and checking in for your international departure. (meals on the flight)

These PRIVATE Tours include: Transfers by air-conditioned vehicle related to the tour starting with arrival to Cairo. Domestic flights within Egypt in business class where available, otherwise in economy. Baggage handling of no more than 2 pieces of luggage per person however baggage and personal effects are at the owner's risk at all times during the tour. Luxury 5 star Hotels (based on double occupancy). Premier 5 star Nile cruise with upper decks, outside Nile view suite (based on double occupancy). Meals as outlined by B for Breakfast, L for lunch and D for dinner. Fees for visiting antiquity sites and museums. Tours with the services of an English speaking Egyptologist throughout the program (unless you prefer another language. We have guides fluent in virtually all major languages), Service charges and taxes.

NOT included are: Items of a personal nature such as tips, entry visa (available at the airport on entry for USA and Canadian citizens. Other nationalities should check with the nearest Egyptian consulate), phone calls, laundry, bar bills, beverage during meals, any items not specifically covered in the included items.
