Program:
Day
01: (Saturday) Arrive Cairo, staff will assist
with clearing immigration and customs then transfer
you to the Le
Meridien Pyramids hotel. Overnight Cairo
OPTIONAL sound and light show at the pyramids ($30 per
person)
VISAS: All travelers to
Egypt must have a visa. Those traveling with USA or
Canada passports can obtain theirs on arrival at Cairo.
No photos, no forms and cost is about $18. Travelers
with other passports should check with us whether you
need one before arrival.
Day 02: (Sunday) Enjoy
an international buffet breakfast and check out before
starting the day at the Pyramids
at Giza, home of the 7th wonder of the world, the
Great Pyramid. Visit the inscrutable Sphinx
and then a wonderful afternoon to explore the treasures
of the Egyptian
Antiquity Museum featuring King
Tut's treasures. Staff transfers you to the airport,
assists with checking in and you fly to Luxor. Arriving
staff transfers you to the Sonesta
Luxor Hotel. Overnight Luxor (B)
Day
03: (Monday) Buffet breakfast, check out of the
hotel, visit the West Bank's Necropolis of Thebes featuring
the Valley
of the Kings,
Queen
Hatshepsut's Temple and the Colossi
of Memnon.
Return to the East Bank to board your 5 star Deluxe
Nile cruiser, the Queen
of Hansa. Ship features include panoramic opening
floor to ceiling windows, large cabins, T.V./video/radio,
private baths and individual climate control. Lunch,
then visit Luxor
and Karnak
Temples. Watch the sunset over the Necropolis
of Thebes while enjoying dinner. Evening entertainment.

04: (Tuesday) Enjoy breakfast while sailing to
Esna. Pass the Esna lock and sail to Edfu. Lunch on
board. Dinner and evening entertainment. Overnight Edfu

05: (Wednesday) Breakfast then visit the Horus
Temple then
sail to Kom Ombo (lunch while sailing) where you will
visit the temple
of two gods,
Sobek (the crocodile god) and Horus. Sail to Aswan.
Dinner and evening entertainment. Overnight Aswan (B,L,D)
Day
06: (Thursday) After breakfast visit the Temple
of Philae,
the Pharaoh's granite quarries with the Unfinished
Obelisk
and the High
Dam.
FREE BONUS: Afternoon visit to the Botanical
Gardens traveling by Felucca
(native sailboat). These are wind powered only so if
there is no wind this will not operate. Dinner and evening
entertainment. Overnight Aswan (B,L,D)
Day
07: (Friday) Disembark the cruise after your
buffet breakfast. Visit the Nubian
Museum
and the famous Spice Market. Staff transfers you to
the Movenpick Elephantine Island Resort. Overnight Aswan
(B)
NOTE: Optional tour to St.
Simeon's Monastery:
Travel by motor launch to the West Bank to board your
ship of the desert (camel) for a short ride to St. Simeon's
Monastery ruins. $60 per person (If you select the camel
trek you will do this in the morning, then check in
at the hotel and in the afternoon visit the Nubian museum
and spice market).
Day
08: (Saturday) Breakfast, check out of the hotel
and staff transfers you to board the M/S
Kasr Ibrim. Lunch on board then visit Kalabsha
Temple, Beit
El Wali and the Kiosk of Kertassi. Afternoon tea
is served in the lounge. Dinner and overnight on board
in Aswan Harbor. Overnight cruise (B,L,D)

09: (Sunday) Sailing to Wadi El Seboua, breakfast
and cocktail when passing the Tropic of Cancer. Overnight

10: (Monday) Breakfast on board followed by a
morning visit to Wadi El Seboua, the Temple
of Dakka, and Temple of Meharakka. Lunch on board
while sailing to Amada. Visit the Temples of Amada
and of Derr,
as well as the Tomb of Penout. Dinner and overnight
on board at Amada. Overnight Cruise (B,L,D)
Day
11: (Tuesday) Sailing to Kasr Ibrim. Breakfast
and morning visit to the Citadel of Kasr Ibrim. Tour
conducted from the ship's sun deck as entrance to the
site is not permitted. Sailing to Abu Simbel. After-lunch
visit of the Temples of Abu
Simbel. Candlelight dinner on board and overnight
at Abu Simbel. Overnight cruise (B,L,D)
OPTIONAL Sound and Light show at the temple $30 per

Day
12: (Wednesday) Breakfast on board. Those who
wish may enjoy a second visit to the Abu Simbel Temples
to watch the sunrise (entrance ticket is not included).
Disembarkation. Staff transfers you to the airport,
assists with checking in for your flight to Cairo. Arriving
staff transfers you to the Fairmont

13: (Thursday) Staff transfers you to the airport, assists with exit formalities and checking in for your international departure.
