This is an incredible experience. For most of this program you will be retracing the generally accepted path of the Exodus, one of the Bible's most famous episodes. The stark landscape of the mountains colored by their mineral richness is entertaining. Discovering fossils from millions of years ago in unique geological areas and being introduced to the lifestyle of a nomadic culture that today is same as it was a 1,000 years ago is certainly educational.

Day 01: Depart Cairo in the morning traveling northeast toward the Suez Canal for Tanis. Though no longer, Tanis was an important City in the pharaonic period. Many believe that this was the Biblical city from which the Exodus began, but many will also remember it as the location where the famous movie character, Indiana Jones discovered the 'Lost Ark'. Cross the Suez Canal and proceed to visit Moses Springs, the first stop in the Sinai for the Israelites. From here on to Wadi Feiran. Steeped in biblical mystery, it was here, according to locals, scholars, and legend, that Moses struck a rock with his staff, bringing forth a spring so his people could drink. Feiran is also the site of Rafadim, the fabled oasis where the Hebrews camped and battled the Amelecites. It is said that a journey through Feiran is to pass through an entire chapter of the Old Testament (Exodus 17). Continue to the foot of Mt. Sinai to overnight at St. Catherine's Plaza. Overnight Sinai (B,L,D)

Day 02: Depart the hotel about 3AM and climb to the crest of Mt. Sinai to watch the sunrise then return to the base for breakfast at the hotel. Check out and visit St. Catherine's Monastery with it’s Chapel of the Burning Bush and a history that goes to the 400’s (AD). From here we travel East toward the Gulf of Aqaba with a stop enroute to see the Rock of Inscriptions where travelers have been carving messages and directions for thousands of years. We will look across the broad landscape of Wadi Ghazala and the oasis of Ein Kudra, traditionally hazerot for the Children of Israel. We continue our journey to the coast, have lunch at Habiba, a wonderful open air restaurant right on the shore of the Gulf. On a clear day we can see Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Israel. We drive up the coast to overnight at the Sonesta Resort Taba. Overnight
Taba, Egypt. (B,L)

Day 03: We depart Taba on our yacht ferry to
Aqaba, Jordan. After clearing immigration and customs, we drive into the mountains to Petra. Arriving, we overnight at the famous Movenpick Resort, right at the entrance to the Rose Red city. Overnight Petra (B)

Day 04: A day to enjoy Petra and surrounding sites. Overnight Petra (B)

Day 05: Drive along the 5,000 year old King's Highway passing beside the Dead Sea and Lot's Sanctuary (where archaeological discoveries cause many to feel this was where Lot and his daughters sought refuge after God destroyed Sodom) to Madaba (the city of Mosaics) and Mt. Nebo, where Moses looked on the promised land. Then on to Amman. Overnight Grand Hyatt Amman (B)

Day 06: Tour to Jerash, one of the most famous and well preserved cities of the Roman Decapolis. From Jerash visit Ajloun and Umm Qais. Umm Qais is tucked into the northwest corner of Jordan and looks down on the Sea of Galilee. This is where, according to the Bible, that Jesus drove demons out of men and into swine (Matthew 8:28-32). Return to Amman.
Staff transfers you to the airport, assists with exit formalities and checking in for a short flight to Cairo. Arriving, staff will transfer you to the Fairmont Heliopolis Hotel. Overnight Cairo (B)
